The Commission's "What Was Heard" Report offers an overview of what was heard during the initial consultations and faithfully captures the core issues that were expressed. Read the message from the Minister of State.
The Commission consulted with Canadians and received approximately 2,300 ideas about red tape irritants getting in the way of business productivity. This Recommendations Report contains 90 specific recommended solutions to eliminate or alleviate these irritants.
On October 1, 2012 the Government of Canada released the Red Tape Reduction Action Plan report. This action plan details the systemic regulatory reforms the government is putting in place to address the Commission's report.

In Budget 2011, the Government committed to demonstrating its progress on red tape reduction by posting information about the work already underway to reduce red tape and free business to grow. Read more about Government of Canada red tape reduction initiatives.
